It was October 30th and Dulcina was thinking about the town a few miles away. They had just had a huge flood and many people had lost everything they had. She knew Halloween was the last thing on the minds of most of the "adults" in town but she knew kids and she knew sweet teeth. There were many things they needed and some would say candy was the last thing they needed. But Dulcina knows when you feed a sweet tooth it can't help but bring a smile.

She knew she had to get candy out to all the kids, young and old, but she couldn't afford that much candy. Then she had an idea. If she got all her friends to give half their trick or treating candy to her and all of their friends did the same and so on and so on together they could gather enough. She set about calling her friends. At first when she told them they would have to part with some of their treasured candy no one wanted to do it, but as she explained they slowly came around.

Most of her friends were willing and they called their friends and soon enough the word was out. Come November first candy was coming in from all over. Even some from towns so far away she had never been there before. She knew she needed help transporting it all so she called her friend Candy. Candy was a guardian and Dulcina knew she would understand. When Candy arrived she was amazed at all the candy.

They loaded it up in a big truck and took it to the town. On the way they stopped at a friends costume shop to borrow some costumes. The kids couldn't trick or treat with out those. That year Halloween cam late to the town but thanks to Dulcina every sweet tooth was fed and there every face had a smile.
