Kotta's story written by .:Lapis_Lazuli:.
Growing up with a candy obsessed mother wasn't the easiest thing in the world- and Kotta knew this better than anyone. She'd been entrusted with the task of keeping the world's chocolate shops in order- pretty fitting in both her, and her mother's eyes. She'd travel around, checking and making sure everything was going smoothly- and luckily, the workers usually kept it going without much trouble. Sure, it was hard work going around to every single shop, and sometimes she forgot and missed a couple, but she somehow managed.

Though... today seemed a little different. When Kotta came to check on a certain shop, she saw the workers hurrying around- chattering amongst themselves in almost frantic voices. She stepped inside the kitchen, only to see multiple workers- more than usual- working on creating the chocolate. She couldn't help but become confused by this.

"... I-Is everything okay?" She asked. One glanced up at her.

"N-No! The stove wasn't working earlier... and by the time we got it back in commission- we've become behind on production! And what's worse... it's getting closer to Valentine's Day...!"

Kotta knew exactly what that meant- Valentines Day... the day when the most chocolate was sold. And if this shop was behind... that could mean they'd possibly run out of stock. And that wasn't good. The young Keeper glanced around- a worried expression on her face. What should she do? She thought for a moment... before it finally hit her.

Without another thought, she moved over to one of the empty stove tops. It already had a pan on it- the sugary scent fuming into the air. The man looked at her with confused eyes as the Keeper began trying to mimic what the workers were doing.

"... What are you doing?" He asked.

"... I can't just stand here and do nothing..." She said quietly, trying to concentrate.

"But you don't even know the--" He cut himself off- watching as a puff of black smoke shot out- causing the Keeper to begin coughing. When it dispersed, he noticed the worried look on her face- why hadn't he seen it sooner? With a sigh, he took the pan- setting it aside. Kotta watched him- thinking he wasn't going to allow her to do anything more. However, this wasn't the case- instead, he set another one on the burner.

"... I'll teach you how. Watch and listen very carefully, okay?" He said. Kotta paused, before quickly nodding.

And so, the man taught Kotta the recipe for making well prepared and high quality chocolate. And to the worker's surprise- she was a fast learner. She still made mistakes here and there, but hey- she'd literally just learned it. No one was perfect right off the bat.

Though it was a slim chance, the shop somehow managed to make enough chocolate to keep their stock up. Kotta was amazed by this- as were the workers. Maybe... Maybe she was cut out for this job, afterall.
