Trinity's story - written by toramonger
Trinity sighed as she watched her sister read her book of the day, and her brother...well she wasn't quite sure were he had gotten off to. Today she would be alone, all of her friends had other duties today so she was on her own. That was okay though she could handle that right? Right! Smiling now she got up and wandered out of the house, her sister never looking up from her book once as she left. Reaching a clearing she began to sing her voice rising in a mimic of one of her most favorite song birds.

As she sang she began to sway and dance instead of walking threw the woods. Taking the flower out of her hair she cupped it in her hands as if she were singing to it, and danced around some more raising it up and then down with the rhythm. Finishing the song she giggled and tossed the flower up into the air were it twirled around as it fell back into her out stretched hands. Letting out another giggle she collapsed against a tree starring up threw the canopy of leaves.

She suddenly sat strait up her eyes looking too and frow. "Hello?" she called out in her sing song voice as she heard the soft tap again. When she heard it again she climbed to her feet and began to follow the sound. Weaving threw the trees she paused as she caught sight of the clearing before her. A trap, there was a trap! It looked old, probably forgotten by who ever had put it there years ago. She must have passed threw here a hundred times, it must have somehow been either well hidden, or so old it took a lot to set it off.

But it had indeed been set off, and the poor bird in its grasp was so distressed it wasn't making hardly any noise at all. She lay on her side her poor leg held tight in the noose that had drawn tight trapping her in one place. Her eyes snapped open as Trinity entered the clearing and studied the aqua colored keeper threw black eyes. "Hello there little Pipit, you seem to have gotten yourself into quite a situation haven't you?" she said in a softly lyrical voice edging closer to the watchful Pipit.

When the Pipit made a soft sound and flapped her wings frantically Trinity said "I know your scared right now, and don't know me do you? But I'd like to know you, and I can help you if you'll let me." The Pipit seemed to settle down a bit gingerly upon her feet chirping softly. Trinity smiled softly and said "That's it, thats the way." as she continued to edge forward. Finally reaching the bird she reached down and ran a hand down its head and back. The bird made a soft crooning sound and rubbed her head upon Trinity's palm.

Laughing softly Trinity lifted the bird up into her lap and eased the nose off of its leg. Running a hand over the leg Trinity smiled and announce "Its not even broken! Aren't you a lucky Pipit!" Smiling at the bird she set it to one side and said "Let me clear this up so no one else gets hurt hear and then we can go to my house. You can rest there until you're ready to go off again!" The Pipit chirped at her as she quickly pulled up the rope holding the trap in place. "There we are I'll just throw this away at home!" she said as she scooped the bird up and turned to head home. Before long the pair of them, Trinity and the Pipit were filling the woods with song as the went.
